8 Empties = 8 Mini Reviews

I'm finally doing an empties post! Not because I don't use up products but because I have to hold on to the empty bottles which can be a pain. However, I decided to be a bit patient so collected some used up products because I really wanted to show you what I used and what I thought about each product.

Let's get started!

#1. Advance White toothpaste by Arm & Hammer. I'm always in search of THE whitening toothpaste. This particular is a baking soda based one. This means that baking soda is the main whitening agent. You can definitely feel and taste the baking soda when you use it. I brush my teeth 2 to 3 times a day and I don't think I've seen any improvement in the colour of my teeth. Maybe I need to use 4 tubes (?) to see any results. Having said this, I would repurchase it as I'm sure if you persist with it you can see some change.

#2. John Frieda Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo. I know, I'm not a blond. I'm near ginger (coloured) but I like  the natural sun-kissed natural effect I get with a lightening shampoo. I really liked this shampoo. The scent is really nice and I can definitely see the lighter strands on my hair as if I've been to the beach. Love it.

#3. N7 Protect & Perfect Intense Beauty Serum. I normally get N7 products when I get one of those Boots vouchers because I think they are a tad overpriced. I used this serum under my moisturiser as a base to any other skin product as I find serums can take a bit longer to penetrate the skin. I did like the feeling of it and the very natural scent but if I'm honest I haven't seen much of a difference to my very fine lines. Maybe, like a lot of skin care products you need to use at least 3 bottles to see any effect. I'm not sure I would repurchase this product or maybe only provided I have a voucher.

#4. Shu Uemura Silk Bloom Shampoo. I absolutely loved this shampoo. It gave me soft, silky and smooth hair every single time I used it. You get minimal foam and the scent is SO nice. The only problem is that it's bloody expensive! Each bottle will set you back about £25! Ouch! I have another bottle of this already :).

#5. Skin Calming Cream by Botanics. I had this cream for a while. They have changed the packaging now but as far as I know they haven't reformulated the products. I loved this cream too much! It was my main cream for under foundations. It's soft, super moisturising and it absorbs nearly instantly. And the best thing is that it's under £5! I will definitely get a new pot of this!

#6. TRESemme Thermal Recovery Hair Mask. It took me nearly a year to finally finish this product! It's a huge tub (500ml) and you don't need much. It's a heavy thick cream that I used to use while I was having a shower as a replacement for my conditioner. I would leave it for about 3 minutes and I would then rinse completely. I LOVED the scent! And I was left with super soft and silky hair. I would repurchase it but I would get a smaller pot if there is any available. It's just that I like that psychological feeling of using things up.

#7. N7 Extreme Length Waterproof Mascara. This was my main mascara for my make-up kit. I didn't actually use the wand as I use disposables for mascara application. I really liked the effect I got on the model's lashes. It's a watery formula but it's very easy to work with. I would repurchase this mascara but maybe with a voucher as I think there are other better drugstore mascaras for less.

#8. Clariol Colourseal Conditioning Gloss. I get this conditioning mask with my Nice & Easy hair dye set. It's a thick cream that you are meant to use once every week. You apply it as any other mask on wet hair and you leave it to work for about 3 minutes or so. It's ok but there are other masks (the TRESemme one for example) much better than this. You can purchase it separately but I'm not sure it's worth it!
