Review: Illamasqua Powdered Metal In Bebhionn- Swatches + Thoughts

Hello ladies,

As you know I'm a terrible cheek product sucker! Big time!
I probably have around 50 blushes, 20 illuminators and about 15 bronzers. No joke.

So, on a recent trip to Illamasqua to check their sale I couldn't help picking up one of their Powdered Metals. To be precise I got the pinky/goldy one in the colour Bebhionn.
I have never tried this product before and I was intrigued.

As I have a huge collection of similar products I was a good "clinical subject" to test this one out.

It comes in the the typical Illamasqua box and packaging.
The nice detail is that it comes with one of their powder puffs. The puff is quite good and handy actually. It's white with the hand band in black with their logo.
Once you open the product you could put the puff inside but you will be squeezing it a bit too much.

The powder comes out from the typical powder dispenser with the sticker and the little holes. I never remove the entire sticker as I find that it gets super messy once the powder is free to move around.
2-3 holes are enough for me and I always tend to decant a bit of product on the lid.

The powder itself is very finely milled. Super soft with a silky feeling to it. It's just so pretty I could spend an hour just looking at the powder!
You get 15gm of product here so seriously this should last you half of your life! As it's so fine you will need a tiny bit to get the gorgeous illuminating effect. Seriously.

It's a pinky/goldy colour which I find very flattering! It's an all rounder for people with very fair skin to the darkest of the ladies. I have more of an olive skin tone and it looks just divine on myself :).

The swatch below is just a tiny amount blended on my hand. You can definitely top it up and make it more noticeable on your cheeks.

On the pot you could probably see tiny tiny sparkles but that does not transfer at all on the skin. The result is a gorgeous and expensive looking shimmer.

You could use this on the body too! Imagine how lovely would be on a summer night to get some of this shimmer on your collar bone or a bit on your arms and legs.

I absolutely love this product!
I recommend it to anyone who can have the patience to open the pot and decant a bit of product on the lit and the swirl the brush. Just make the effort- it's worth it!

This product is at a bargain sale price of £10 here (it's normally £22.50)!

What is your favourite illuminator?

This is so lovely! Just went to buy it and it's sold out. :( I love the Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow Ice Gold, but it doesn't sit well over my powder foundation, and find it's not as long lasting as I would like it to be. xx
