Review And Swatches-Laura Mercier Golden Pink Sheer Creme Glow

Hi ladies,

Hope you're all well!

In the last two weeks I've been buying a lot of unnecessary pretty things (as you do) at the
Laura Mercier Counter.

This is a brand that really intrigues me as it's all about being natural, being yourself, not caking it on, embracing your inner glow and about make-up that doesn't look like make-up. Interesting and a bit of a change for me.

This will be the first of a series of posts as I bought quite a few products
(The list of upcoming posts will be at the bottom)

Let's start with the
Golden Pink Sheer Creme Glow

I believe this is from their current Portofino collection and I'm not entirely sure if this will then be part of the permanent line.

This is what the packaging (typical LM packaging) and the pan look like:

This is a hand and finger swatch:

More hand swatches in different lights and flashes:
I will show you real face swatches but I'm having a very bad spotty moment so I'm hiding my face for some days!

My verdict?

I love this product!

♥ It's very similar to the Jemma Kid Dewy Glow Creme (2) but this one has a more pinky tone to it as well as the peach/gold.

♥ You only need a tiny bit to get a nice visible effect. This will last you for ever.

♥ It's super creamy and easy to use. I would suggest using your fingers rather than a brush. Less messy and more effective.

♥ It lasts a long time on your cheeks. Ideal for a night out!

♥ I love using it as an e/s base -prior to my UDPP to avoid creasing. It's a softer version of Rubenesque Paint Pot by Mac.

The negative?

✖ The price. It's about £30ish. It's expensive but it's gorgeous and I say it's worth every penny!

✖ It says it lasts only 1 year and I cannot see myself using up this big pan in only 12 months. We'll see.

✖ It might be limited edition?

I am absolutely loving my Laura Mercier products.
I guess the high end price tag was putting me off a bit from trying them but honestly they are such a good investment! I cannot flaw any of the products so far.
Definitely check this brand if you have the budget!

I hope you enjoyed the swatches and the info.
You can read some official info here.

Posts to come about my other Laura Mercier purchases:

I use LM mineral foundation and I do like it. I find myself using a few different foundations in a week, but if I want something easy I always reach for LM. It has a bit of a sheen to it so you don't feel like you have a flat, powdery face either...very nice! I like this blush, kind of surprised it has that much shimmer in it but it's still very pretty.

@ Beautiful You: I have to say..everything I tried so far is gorgeous and it defo feels high-end. It's quite expensive so maybe that's the main reason we don't try it that much. X

@Vivianna: Thanks. I took pics of everything before I could dig my dirty finders in them. Now I have to use them a bit more and sit down and write X

@Tracy: Yes, I got that too. It's nice but it doesn't have brilliant coverage I find. My post in my chin/jaw area still needs more concealer. X

@Jazzy E (hivenn): Yes, very pretty. X

i use her mineral power foundation, and i believe it is one of the best i have ever used along with vitalumiere. also i have 3 cake eyeliner from lm and they are just ok nothing outstanding..but the best product i have tried from laura mercier is without question is brow definer cream kinda product!! nothing can beat it, nothing!!!

the swatch looks like deep throat in cream form, indeed lovely!
xxx

@m i s s a r c h: I have it too. I can see it as a brilliant foundation but I'm guessing your skin is acne free? or maybe nearly perfect? I find that if I have any redness around a spot or something acne related it does not cover it at all and I need extra coverage on those areas. Apart from that I do LOVE the finish. Brow definer? I heard about them but didn't know they were that good! I will definitely have a look next time I'm near the counter.
This product has a slight similarity to Deep Throat but it's way more luminous. Have a fab week!!! XXX :)

Oh, I love this product! I waited too long and it was sold out at my local counter so I had to track it down online - it is so pretty! Thanks for the review :)
