I hope you're having a nice weekend.
This week was a bit rubbish for me.
I had a few difficult projects to manage at work and I was feeling the pressure.
Instead of smoking 40 cigarettes, drinking 5 bottles of cider or eating 2 cakes I just buy make-up to ease the stress.
So, on Friday I innocently headed to House of Fraser and I just had to stop by the Dior counter when I saw these two beauties.
Yes, as you probably know by now my massive weakness are cheek products. Not sure why but I can never ever get enough.
It was about 4pm (yes as you can see it was a hard week..lunch break at 4pm? Yep!) so in 2 hours my weekend was about to start and I was going to meet some friends for some Friday drinks as usual.
I had my make up bag but a bit of Dior make over won't do me any harm I thought.
The lady told me that she just put them on the testers and that I was the first one to swatch them!
She then asked me if I wanted to try them on my face and it was really an offer I could not resist.
What can I say...I loved them!
Honestly I wanted to take one but which one?
I couldn't decide so I took both...at the end of the day...I was having a hard week and I needed a treat.
So here we have001 Aurora
They call them bronzers but for me they also have something of a blush.
It's a hybrid I would say.
The Dior packaging needs a mention.
It comes in their distinctive dust pouch but these ones have a little pocket for a handy brush.
The brush is actually really decent I have to say and the bristles are super soft.
The compact is actually silver as opposed to the classic blue you would normally get.
Here you have them side by side.
L: 002 Sunset
R: 001 Aurora
And the close ups
This is the light one.
It's a very nice beachy pink/peach with a hint of gold. There is absolutely no glitter here and it's totally adjustable to different intensities depending on your taste.
The bronzy shades give you the tanned look. There are three bronzy colours; one with a bit of gold and the other one is matte. The third one is a bit more on the terracota side.
This one is the dark shade.
Instead of pink this one has an orangey/peach tone to it.
The bronzey shades are darker than in the light version.
Two of the bronzey colours are very similar in shade but different in finish; one being shimmery and the other one matte.
The third bronzey colour is much darker and it will give you a more defined and tanned look.
Side by side from a different angle.
What can I say?
As with everything Dior..I love them.
Do you see now why it was hard to decide which one to go for?
-You get 10g
-They retail at about £29 each.
The lady also gave me lots of skin care samples and avery generous sample of Extase mascara which I can wait to try once I'm done with my million opened mascaras.
MercedesHave you seen these?Aren't they gorgeous? What's your favourite cheek product?
