Velvety Red Lips With No Lipstick

Hi ladies,

When I do red lips I hardly ever use lipstick.

I use lip liners, pigments and a tiny bit of lip stains for a bit of shine.

I find this is the way to go for a long lasting red lip which is smudge proof, waterproof and nearly kiss proof

This is what the first look looks like.
I used the darkest red lip liner on the edges of both my upper and lower lips and then I used a more orangey or lighter liner on the centre. I coloured my entire lip with the lightest colour.
I then applied a red and orangey lip tint just on the centre to give the impression of light.
For extra definition I used a tiny bit of concealer around my entire lip.
The second look for a bit of extra dimension:
For a deeper or more 3D-like effect I applied red, orangey and gold pigments right on the centre for an extra impression of light.
Just use a tiny bit and use a very small brush.
I love the fact that you do not get red lipstick on your teeth with this method.
So unattractive when that happens.

And this is what I look with red lips.

I hope you liked this technique.

Do you use red lips much?
What's your technique or tips?

Love! I like wearing a red lip lately as I have some cool red sunglasses and feel super glam when I match them with a red lip lol. I mostly use Mac's prolong wear lip colour because it dries fairly matte and does stick around x

    @The Peach:Thank you. I'll defo do it! Promise. X

@Rachael: I used Barry M lip liner in 25 as my darker shade, KIKO Make up Milano 203 lip liner as my orangey shade then the lip stain was one from Screen Face which I did a post about and then the pigments were a few-reflects Rust by Mac, Pink Bronze by Mac and a random gold one. I used 3 pigments this time as I was playing around but I would normally stick to one just to make the process a bit quicker. I'll do a step by step and I'll show you swatches X

@Rachy: Red sunglasses? Can I see them? Do a post with the glasses and lip combo! X

@Indigo: Thank you :-P I was just experimenting like we all do. X
