Review: Diorshow Black Out Mascara + before and after photos

Hi ladies,

Another overdue mascara review.

This is Diorshow Black Out

The very important wand:
A bit too big for my taste but it could have been worse.

A little wand comparison for you:

My natural lashes:
(no grooming, no curling)

One coat:

Two coats:

An overall comparison:

The formula:
It promises to give you the perfect combination of thickness and length. Did it deliver? I guess so but it gave me more length than volume.
The effect is totally buildable but I find more than two coats look bad, very messy and totally over done.
It is a bit too wet but I think it's because it's quite new and I haven't used it much.
Once applied it dries relatively quickly.

The wand:
It's a bit too big for my clumsiness. I got some mascara on my lid as you can see on the photos.
It's not brilliant but it could be worse (i.e False Lash Effect).
I still don;t get why I have this problem. I guess I dip the wand too much onto my roots and I get transfers?

It's an intense black!

Well, it's not clump free but you don't get too many either. I would rate it as medium on the clump problem.
But you do get your lashes al stuck together with this mascara so if you don't like that then stay away from this one.

The curl:
It kind of gives an interesting curl (see final comparison photo) but I would definitely curl my lashes prior to the application anyway to guarantee a more defined curl.

This particular one is NOT waterproof and it can smudge very easily.
I guess they do a waterproof formula?

Would I repurchase it?
Well, I actually received this as a gift so I didn't purchased it in the first place but on this occasion I would say NO, I would not repurchase this mascara.
There are loads of drugstore mascaras that deliver better than this one for less than half the price.

Would I recommend it?
Maybe not.
It's expensive and you can get better mascaras for less.
Don't get carried away by the hype with this one..not worth it!

Hope this was useful.
