FOTD: Cranberry Eyes

Hi Ladies,

Cranberry is a colour that I don't use much.
For some reason I always think it doesn't look flattering on me.
I blame my eye colour or my complexion.
I look kind of ill with any e/s from the red family to be honest and cranberry is the big RED for me.

However, I might change my mind...not sure.

What do you think?

Look at my "Monday" face.

Products used:

Kiko foundation in B3
Mini Bourjois cream blush in number 8

Sunset palette by Sleek
Double Wear Stay in Place eyeliner in 02 Coffee by Estee Lauder
Lash Accelerator in Brown Black by Maybelline

2 Super stay glosses by Maybelline

Where did I use what?

1 on the inner corner and up to half of the eye.
2 on the outer part mixing it with 1 a bit in the middle
3 all over the crease well blended
4 on the outer V and a tiny bit on the crease to give dimension

On a side note:'s getting cold.
Especially at 8.30 am when I take the beast for her first walk!!
Time for a winter wardrobe ladies.

Hope you liked it.

How do you use cranberry type colours?
What do you combine it with?

This looks lovely Mercedes! It really suits you! I'm currently loving Sweet Chestnut from the MAC Spiced Quad (which is basically the same as MAC's cranberry) just lined slightly under the eye with a brown eyeliner either on it's own or sometimes with a warm gold over the eye. It's a very festive look :D xx

I think Cranberry is a gorgeous colour and looks great on you in the pics. I'm lucky because my eye colour/skin tone means I don't look ill but if it did, I would probably keep it as a lid colour only and not go under the eyes with it. Maybe woodwinked under the eyes would work better with cranberry on the lid?

@ Vivianna: Cranberry and gold...very festive combo. I'll try it next time. :-)XXX

@ifoundpablo: Everyone raves about Woodwinked. I'll need to check it out. Thanks!XXX

@Miss Jones: Very Christmasy indeed. :-)XXX

@Kat: LOL, I guess the photo/flash doesn't do any justice to the sparkly glosses. The red/cranberry one is exactly the same tone and in real life it looks very good. I guess in the photos you see more the pink. But I agree...I'll change it to a more nude colour next time. Thanks for your honesty anyway. XXX
