Last weekend I went to the cinema with the hubby to see Made in Dagenham which is set in the late 60's. The make up in the film is in general very toned down but I felt inspired by one or two secondary characters who still wear heavy make up and big hair dos.
I basically wanted to recreate the distinctive 60's Mod look.
Just think Twiggy and those spiky top and bottom lashes, matte face, contrasting e/ss and a matte lip.
That's what I was after....at least in theory.
This is what I came up with using greens and browns.
I hope you enjoy the photos (there are a few) and that they inspire you to try it too!
One thing I noticed when I finished the look is how my face expression changes thanks to some bottom false eyelashes. I look so strange on some of these photos...a mixture of a sad expression and bigger eyes? I guess that's the idea anyway.
Also, I'm not too sure if this look is very flattering on me....but it was fun trying it.
What do I think about the film? It was good..not woowww but good.
It's basically a true story about how women working for Ford factory got equal pay to men and set a precedent for other women in other departments and industries.
Did you like my Mod look?
