Kiko Make-up Milano: Haul (part 1)

Hi everyone,

Some of you requested I showed you my Kiko Make-up Milano shop and here I am.

A bit of sharing the love first:
I first heard and saw some Kiko products while watching Sandra on YouTube.
Sandra is a full-time mum (I think) that lives in Germany.
I don't think she's a make up artist but she is brilliant at make up!
If you are looking for inspiration for wearable day and night looks...she's the one to watch.
She does incredible colour combinations (silver and gold for example) and whatever colour she's featuring she will match her jewellery and nail polish to it. I love her.
Mind you, all her tutorials are in Portuguese but honestly that will not be a problem because you can follow her tutorials as she shows the products and does a clear sept by step.
Her YouTube channel is: Saltodolontra
I seriously suggest you subscribed to her...you will love her.

About Kiko Make-up Milano

What they say:
(Source: their website)
KIKO MAKE UP MILANO is a brand that offers a professional make-up line and groundbreaking skin care treatments. Effective formulas, safe and easy to use, suited for a woman who loves playing around with colors and with her own personality, a woman who is fashion-conscious but also cares about the health of her skin.

Founded in 1997, KIKO MAKE UP MILANO’s creative spirit is deeply rooted in the "Made in Italy", the world capital of fashion, art, and design. Creativity that goes hand in hand with technological innovation and the quality of cosmetic formulas, made with carefully selected raw materials and subjected to stringent safety tests.

KIKO appeals to women of all ages: trendy seasonal collections and “urban chic” treatment lines for younger customers, ad hoc treatments and a wide range of make-up products for the more mature ones.

I like their statement!
I'm young (well...at least I feel young),
I'm trendy (I guess),
I'm fashion concious (in a healthy way)
And I love playing with colours.

They have stores only in Italy, Germany and Spain.

1-Foundations
I went for two shades of their Medium Foundation
I went for the B3 and B5.
I always go for two different shades:
the lighter and the darker I get so I can customise
all year round.

This is what they look like:

You get a 50ml tube
and these were €5 each.

They come sealed which is a nice touch.

Swatches:

It says in the box that this foundation gives you a moisturising effect.
You can clearly see that glowy finish on my hand.
They give you a medium coverage I would say.
I only tested the B3 yesterday and it was OKish. Not brilliant but not too bad either.
My skin is a bit dry at the moment so I will keep on trying them and I'll let you know what
I think after a few weeks.
For some reason the B5 felt nicer than the B3 when swatching.
The B3 was thicker and it was harder to blend whereas the B5 was really smooth.
Strange.

They do have other foundations as well with different packaging and different finishes.

2-Bronzer
I went for their Sunproof Hyaluronic Bronzer with SPF 25
Wondering what Hyaluronic is? Me too.
After a bit of research I found that Hyaluronic acid is a key ingredient in various skin-care products aimed at increasing the skin's moisture and elasticity levels.

This is what they look like:

They white bit is like an illuminator.
It also comes with a sponge applicator which lives at the bottom of the pan.
I love these! I went for both shades as I couldn't decide.
01 Beige (left) and 02 Tan (right)

You get 9gms
They were on a special offer at €6,70 each

I haven't tried them yet on my face but when I swatched them in the shop they felt so light and glowy.
I'll let you know what I think about them.

3-Brushes
They have a nice sellection of brushes and they are fairly cheap compared to the high end brands.
I went for the duo fibre 106 face brush which is very comparable to the 187 by MAC.

This is what it looks like:
The dirty (top) one is the Mac 187.

The 106 by Kiko looks a bit more like a fan shape but I guess that can change after a wash?
It is incredibly soft and very comparable to the 187.
This brush was €12,90

4-Liner
I went for the 200 lip liner (orange red)
This is what it looks like:

The top red one is my trusted Barry M number 25.

A little comparison:
The top one is the Barry M one and the bottom one is the Kiko one.
I thought I loved the Barry M one because it was orange enough but ohhh dearrrr...I'm loving the Kiko one now.

I did the swatches on top of the foundations so you can see the glowy effect I'm talking about.

This lip liner was only €1,90

5-Mousse eyeshadow
I went for the Sun Mousse eyeshadow in 02 violet (surprised?)

This is what it looks like:

Swatches:

The colour is a really lovely lavender iridescence.
The texture is exactly like the Stila Smudge pots: super extra creamy.
They are super bendable and once they dry they don't move.
They also had a lovely green but I have a similar one already.
This mousse eyeshadow was €3,40

End of part 1

Part 2 will cover all the 17 eyshadows!
-Stay tuned-

Take care
