Hope you're doing well. Only one day to go to Friday.
I have to admit I was a total Barry M paints virgin.
I heard so many things about them and there are so many different opinions around about them. So, why a virgin so far? Well, what was really putting me off until now was the horrible display in Superdrug. It always seems to be a mess on the Barry M section and everything seems to be misplaced or nicked!
When I read Vivianna's post
reviewing some of the paints I discovered that I wasn't the only one who thought that! But after looking at her really good swatches I decided to give them another try.
So, off I went to my local Superdrug and I hit their section. I know that Marshmallow would no way work on me. It's an incredible pale pink that would make my teeth look really yellow.
I had my hopes up for 147-Peachy pink but they obviously didn't have it. So I decided to have a look at the other one that she suggested 53-Coral. When I swatched it I realised that I have a similar one: 82-Exotic by Gosh. So, I was still empty handed..no paints in hand.
So, then my eyes went for number 54- a really orange/coral with a matte finish. And I love it! It looks a bit scary but I thought it would look great as a lipstick and as a blush. And it does.
This is what it looks like:

And this what it looks like on:
You will see that it looks a bit shiny here and that's because I had some lip butter underneath...just realised after I took the photos. The finish of this paint is very matte and it will stick to any rough bits you have on your lips. It's not easy to spread and it has like a thick feel.
I think a bit of lip butter does the trick and makes this difficult to work with paint a bit more acceptable.
It was £4.25 at Superdrug.
See you soon.
